Mihaela Cotruta
Founder & Director | ReStart Mobility CIC
I founded ReStart Mobility because I believe that access to essential mobility equipment should never depend on a person's ability to pay.
For 19 years, I have dedicated my career to supporting people with physical disabilities, complex care needs and life-changing conditions.
Throughout those years, I have witnessed how the right mobility equipment can restore independence, reduce isolation and give people the confidence to live with dignity.
These experiences inspired me to establish ReStart Mobility CIC, a UK Community Interest Company committed to collecting, purchasing, refurbishing and delivering essential mobility equipment to those who need it most.
Our mission goes beyond providing equipment. We are building a sustainable social enterprise that reinvests every surplus into helping people with disabilities across the United Kingdom and Romania.

Donated & Collected in the UK
A donated electric medical bed was collected in the UK and prepared for its journey, giving valuable equipment a new purpose instead of letting it go unused.
Step 2
Transported from the UK to Romania
We organised the transport that connected a UK donation with a person who needed it in Romania — turning generosity into a practical delivery.
Step 3
Assembled & Installed in Romania
After arriving in Romania, the medical bed was carefully assembled and prepared for safe everyday use in the beneficiary's home.

Before the donation, everyday positioning, comfort and care were much more difficult. The right equipment can make a meaningful difference to both safety and dignity.

The donated electric medical bed is now in use, helping provide safer positioning, greater comfort and better support for daily care. This is ReStart Mobility in action.

ReStart Mobility continues to receive donated mobility and care equipment in the UK. With more equipment and more support, we can help more people regain comfort, dignity and independence.
